  1. WELCOME TO THE ANIMAZING SCREEN SAVER COLLECTION !
  2. --------------------------------------------------

  4. To use any Animazing Screen Saver Module, you will require :
  5.  
  6.     Minimum 386 PC Compatible with 2 Mb RAM
  7.     MS Windows 3.1 or higher
  8.     VBRUN300.DLL
  9.  
  10. To Install this module, copy  the '.SCR' file you have unzipped into 
  11. your WINDOWS directory. If you are unsure where this directory is, 
  12. go looking for other files that end in ".SCR".
  13.  
  14. Some modules have other files associated with them; for instance,
  15. 'Tags'R'Us' has a text file (TAGSRUS.TXT) which contains a list of
  16. grafitti. These files should also go in your Windows directory.
  17.  
  18. Once you have moved the file to your Windows directory, you will 
  19. be able to setup and test the module from within Control Panel (click the
  20. Desktop icon). Alternatively, if you have the Animazing Randomizer, you 
  21. can run and setup the module from there.

  24. HOW TO TELL WINDOWS YOU WANT TO USE AN ANIMAZING MODULE AS YOUR SAVER
  25.  
  26. Each module is fully functional, with the sole exception that if you 
  27. are unregistered, you can  *** NOT *** configure the module as a screen 
  28. saver. You can customize it and test it out to your heart's content, but
  29. it will not automatically run if you select it as your default saver.
  30. Instead it will display the setup screen for that module.

  32. Registration currently costs $25 (for CompuServe members). 
  33. If you register, you will receive a personalised ID code which enables all 
  34. Animazing modules (even future releases!).
  35. A single one time registration entitles you to use ANY/ALL of the Animazing 
  36. modules as they become available. There are already many modules 
  37. shipping, including EXTERMINATED, TAGS'R'US, NUKEM' HIGH, RIBBIT, FIRES!,
  38. COSMIC, XMAS94, SCREEN LURGI, MOO!, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, CLOUDS etc, 
  39. and new modules are added to the collection each month!
  40. Your $25 is potentially giving you access to an unlimited number 
  41. of wild savers...and where else are you going to find this level of
  42. bad taste?!!

  44. Pressing the 'Registration Details' button on any module will open a 
  45. simple dialog box allowing you to complete the registration process by 
  46. typing in your personal ID code.

  49. REGISTRATION

  51. The easiest way to register is to GO SWREG on Compuserve. The 
  52. registration ID of the Animazing Screen Saver Collection is 3397. 
  53. You will usually receive your personal ID code by e-mail within one 
  54. working day. Alternatively, contact SPRINGSOFT on (UK) O1352 770049
  55. (their Web page is at http://www.springsoft.com)  or leave a message 
  56. on Compuserve to user 100413,3204.

  58. New modules appear first on CompuServe, followed by good Shareware
  59. houses, Magazine cover disks and selected sites on the Internet.

  62. FINDING ANIMAZING MODULES
  63.  
  64. The first 14 modules (the latest versions!) are available in a file 
  65. called BIG ZIP #1, in the screen saver forum. To locate Animazing modules, 
  66. go searching for contributions from author ID 100413,3204. 
  67. New modules are uploaded just as soon as they pass testing, usually 
  68. as files beginning ANIMAZEXXX, e.g ANIMAZE001 or ANIMAZE012. BigZip #2 
  69. went on line recently, and includes another 8 fine savers.

  72. THE ANIMAZING RANDOMIZER
  73.  
  74. This is a simple utility which allows you to tell Windows which
  75. screen savers you like. Windows will then choose one of these
  76. preferred modules at random whenever it is time to screen save. 
  77. Obviously, this utility is only of use to registered users, and is 
  78. really neat, as you can pick and choose any or all the savers you have
  79. on your system, even those from other vendors (as long as they follow the 
  80. standard Windows SCR saver format; e.g. Roaches, or Cows).

  83. TO SHARE OR NOT TO SHARE
  84.  
  85. The Animazing modules are shareware; you may distribute them as and
  86. how you see fit (although you may not make a charge for them, and you
  87. must include this file). Your personalised ID code may NOT be distributed 
  88. under ANY circumstances.

  91. FUTURE MODULES

  93. If you have any ideas for particularly gruesome / off the wall savers,
  94. feel free to mail us with your ideas at 100413,3204 Compuserve.

  97. As these graphical savers are pretty heavy on system resources, it is
  98. a good idea to download a few and make sure that your PC configuration 
  99. can deal with them. Our recommended minimum system is at least a
  100. 386DX with 4 Mb RAM (really the bare minimum needed to run Windows 3.1
  101. effectively). If an Animazing module refuses to run, try closing down 
  102. one or more applications to free up resources, and try again.

  109. You may not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software.

  112. LIMITED WARRANTY

  114. The software comprising 'Animazing Screen Saver Collection' and all related
  115. documentation are provided 'AS IS'. Animazing disclaims all other warranties, 
  116. either express or implied, including (but not limited to) implied warranties
  117. of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with respect to the
  118. software and the accompanying documentation.

  120. In no event shall Animazing or its suppliers accept liability for any damages
  121. whatsoever (including damages for loss of business profits, business 
  122. interruption, loss of information, or other pecuniary loss) arising out of 
  123. the use of or inability to use the software.

  125. Whilst Animazing have taken every precaution to ensure that the software
  126. and accompanying documentation are free from defects, the Company's entire
  127. liability and your exclusive remedy shall be replacement of the software 
  128. that does not meet this limited warranty if such is returned to the Company 
  129. with a copy of your receipt. This limited warranty is void if failure of 
  130. the software has resulted from accident, deliberate mis-use or malicious 
  131. activity by a third party.
